Compressors

Compressors are essential to every air suspension setup. A compressor fills the tank with compressed air, which can then be used to fill each air spring on the vehicle. There are many different options to choose from when it comes to air compressors but fill times and the level of noise seems to be the most common topics when researching compressors. Every vehicle and air suspension setup has different requirements, so if you're looking for a recommendation, please feel free to contact one of the Bag Riders air ride specialists, and they can help recommend a setup that will work best for you!

Single VS Dual Compressors - Which Is Better for My Air Ride Setup?

What is better? Single or dual compressors? Are dual compressors really worth it? In this video we go over the pros and cons of each to help you decide what will work best for your air management needs.

Why You Should Choose a Single Compressor for Your Air Ride System

Single compressors are easier to install when compared to dual compressors because they require less plumbing and wiring. When space is limited, a single compressor can be hidden in your spare tire well which can give you extra trunk space, which is especially great for a daily driver. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you're not 100% certain you want to go with a single or dual compressor setup, you can always start with one single compressor, and then upgrade to a second compressor later on.

Why You Should Choose Dual Compressors for Your Air Ride System

Are two compressors better than one? We think so. Running dual air compressors increases your fill speed and shortens overall run time when compared to a single compressor setup. Redundancy is always a good thing. In the unlikely event that one compressor stops running, you'll always have a backup to be sure you can continue filling your air tank. Plus, if you're doing a show build, dual compressors allow you to get a little more creative with the air management layout and design in your trunk.

How to Mount Your Air Ride Compressor for Less Noise

The way you mount your air compressor inside of your vehicle can often times be one of the most important decisions you make when installing your air management setup. If you mount your air compressor directly to the sheet metal of your vehicle, the vibrations will carry through your car, increasing the sound of the compressor. In this video, we go over a couple of quick tricks to quiet down your air ride compressors so that you'll have the best air ride ownership experience possible.
