What Are Stanceparts Air Cups?
Stanceparts makes high quality air cups, but what exactly are air cups you ask? Simply put an air cup is a metal air cylinder that mounts over the springs on your existing coilover struts. These air cups allow for up to 50mm of upward travel (coilover dependent) and are designed for getting over obstacles and into poorly designed driveways at slow speed. Air cups are not built to be driven with them completely aired up for long periods of time. These are specifically for those who want to stay at their current static height but want some upward adjustability on occasion. If you want a completely adjustable suspension that allows you to ride at various ride heights, air suspension is what you're after.

How Do Stanceparts Air Cups Work?
These air cups from Stanceparts are pretty simple and an air cup system works basically the same way a traditional air suspension system works - just a little more simplified. You obviously need the air cups, but you'll also need an air compressor which will pressurize air and allow you to get that upward lift. You'll also need some sort of valve system connected to a switch that will allow you to control when you want your air cups to inflate and deflate. You'll need air line to deliver the pressurized air from the compressor to the air cups and depending on how often you plan on adjusting your height, you may want to consider an air tank as well to store pressurized air for multiple air ups.
